Nadia was the name of my cow, I made a song for her and in return she gave me a lot of milk.

Nadia my First Cow

Nadia, Nadia, give me a little milk

Nadia, your teats are soft as silk

When I touch, your milk flows

And off to the dairy it goes

When I go away, at night

You break the chain in your flight

When you run in the dark

You make the neighbors’ dog bark

You come running towards me

It is so dark, I barely see

With your sharp tongue, you lick,

And lick, while with your horn you kick

You almost blinded me with affection

You were a cow of perfection

Giving the fattest milk in the village

Having you on my farm was a privilege

Emile, this is just a great poem, it conjures up such great images in the mind and leaves us feeling soothed, as probably Nadia feels as you milk her. I would say this will be a delight to anyone who reads it and I even put a tune to it! Loved it!

It's a Cow Ditty! I love it. I'll have to share some more of my goofy cow songs. I love that you can sing to cows, and that they love that-- people don't know that, you know... --Charlie

you have written this poem with a child's heart, Emile.

You should check out my friend Charlie. She writes wonderful stuff about her cows.
This is funny and fresh, perfect for this kind of tribute.

I know that cows like music and will give more milk. I'm guessing that Nadia liked your voice and in return gave you much milk.

God bless you. Kathy
