The author is reflecting on what has become of our nation with the stimulus and many weak decisions.
Looking at Our Fine Nation on Tax Day Today I was in pain and a little sad And finally, this is a thought, I had Seeing what our country became Is outrageous and a real shame They say the people had spoken I agree, but the stimulus is not a token They are wasting our children's money They have no right, it's neither smart nor funny Who said abroad, we live with arrogance? No Sir ! We create wealth in abundance We work with our minds, our hands and pain To feed our children and it's not in vain We do what we have to, as we should We are hard working and may seem rude Our heart is soft, generous and good We care about our and your livelihood Everyone does what he can for gain, Not for glory, for honor or for fame We promote the best from our land Freedom, liberty, justice is our brand We are always ready to help the others We give what we received from our fathers We create technology and machinery To get rid of illnesses and misery People of the world, don’t envy us, copy our deeds Raise flocks; grow vegetables, fruit and wheat Be welcoming and generous, forget the greed You’ll feed your people and find life to be sweet.

Oh Emile I could not agree with you more. A pox on both houses for the evil deeds they now do and the injustice to all of us and those yet to come. This was a once great nation with so much ideal and promise, but I fear it has all been selfishly squandered....

I share your sentiment, Emile. Ours is the greatest nation in the world--with all our flaws and failures. Sadly, our nation is also in rebellion to God's stated will on many accounts. We can't have God's love without his justice--and we can't have his mercy without repentance. God's people, who are called by His name (as the prophet said) must humble themselves and pray. Many are doing just that, and I know dear friend that you are among them.

Yes, forget the greed, that is the first step to become successful, because without it, the greed, our present situation wouldn't have never occurred!
But like any Nation, it will have people down to feed vultures.
