My experience tells me that if a problem big or small lands on my desk it is for me to solve it.
Problems If you are confronted with a big problem, don't say: "it is not my problem". This problem is to test your ability and resolve for the next bigger, upcoming one. You will not be confronted with a problem bigger than one that you can handle.

I agree with the first part. It is best to face and do everything we can to resolve our problems. As for not ever getting more than we can handle. . .my experiences can't fully agree. Sometimes we are thrown over the cliff into quicksand with nothing but a fading hope to help pull us back up onto solid ground. Sometimes we are left to "drown in the depths of humanity's emptiness..."
