Can we ignore our feelings when it comes to our life? We hesitate to accept that our feelings are stronger than our intellect and our rational thinking.

Know Your Feelings

An insignificant event can awaken our feeling
A bright and sunny day can bring us healing

The sound of a car, a bus, a train or a plane
Can make us remember our joy or our pain

Sampling tasty and delicious food
Can put us in a happy and up-beat mood

The wind, the clouds, the snow or the rain
Can take us on a trip down memory lane

An encounter with an old friend, at leisure
Can be a very special and great pleasure

Nostalgia can remind us what we have forsaken
Sometimes through sadness our senses awaken

Good company, food, wine and cheese
Can change our feelings and put us at ease

Sometimes we are blessed with a state of grace
Impervious to feelings, missing the truth, we face

Sometimes we feel like crying, we don’t know why,
It may be for our loved ones who have gone by

Listening to our feelings is remembering our soul
Choosing what will brighten it is our foremost goal

Wow Emile I love how you put it all together. We raised five children and I always told them to listen to their heart because it is what they feel with.

Your Newfie friend, hugs, Rose

Pain, love, joy, sadness, laughter, grief enter our mind and create what we call feelings alas what we give of ourselves is the greatest feeling of all for someone we love.
