You My Soul
Sometimes I want to be alone,
Just to hear the bird’s song and tone,
The see the color of the flowers,
Roses and the lilac, in the wee hours
The jasmine and lavender smell
That makes me feel so well
The night sky full of stars,
That shine upon us from afar
The sunrise, which fills my heart
With hope to get off to a good start
The spontaneous simple folk song,
That makes me feel that I belong
I dream of a garden that grows wild
Full of flowers I knew as a child
To laugh and to cry when I feel,
As long as I stay pure and real
To eat when I am hungry and cold
Vegetables keep me young, not old
At night I dream about you my soul
Beholding its splendor, is my goal
I feel the truth since the day of my birth
As long as I am truthful on this lovely earth
You appear with charm and sweetness,
You, my soul, my judge and my witness

This is a wonderful write, appreciating the things we sometimes take for granted, sunsets, flowers, birds. Appreciating these things is a part of our soul.
