Meine Heimatstadt (BLADI)

Übersetzung des Autors arabischen Originalgedichts
Ich bin zu dir zurückgekehrt
Nach langen Jahren des Heimwehs
Ich fühlte die Wurzeln meines Herzens
Wie Rosen und Jasmin
Auf deinem gesegneten Boden
Deine Überfülle an Weizen
Deine grünen Berge
Ausgebreitet wie ein Teppich
Von weitem her habe ich dich geehrt
Und an meinem Geburtstag bin ich angekommen
Ich habe dich besucht, meine Stadt
Nach den langen Jahren der Entfernung
Ich habe meine Kindheit wiedergesehen
Als ich dich von weitem erblickte
Deine Schönheit war groß
Und kostbarer als Schätze
Deine Schönheit ist die meiner Mutter
Als sie mich stillte
Ich komme wieder zu dir, meine Stadt
Ohne Schminke oder Henna
Mit lauterer Seele und reinem Herzen
Damit man über dich nur sage
Worte der Wahrheit
Worte unseres Herrn
Der Liebe und der Reinheit
Ich habe dir einen Kuß entrissen
Du hast mein Herz der Liebe geöffnet
Deiner heute gedenkend

My Home Town (Blahdee)
I returned to you, my town, after this long nostalgia
I felt the roots of my heart
Like roses and jasmine
On your blessed soil
Your abundant wheat
Your green mountains
Displayed like a carpet
From afar, I honored you
And on my birthday I arrived.
I visited you, my town
After years of being far away
I saw my childhood again
When I saw you from a distance
Your beauty was great
And better than riches
Your beauty is that of my mother
When I was nursing
I will return to you, my town
Without make-up or henna
With my serene soul and pure heart
So that they may only say of you
Words of truth
And words of our Lord
Of love and purity
I sneaked a kiss from you
You have opened my heart to love
Remembering you today
My heart is appeased
Your joy is mine
Your love is mine
In you center rests the neighborhood of our ancestors
The eye* of the sun, the source of sources
All of honey and light
I feed myself on you
From my young age, until now
*In Arabic, the same word is used for “eye” and “source”.
E’in Esemsh (eye or source of the sun) is the old part of my home town.
