Il fut un temps maman chantait Notre maison en résonnait Nous écoutions avec plaisir Et en gardons le souvenir Aujourd’hui ces vielles chansons Nous parviennent à la maison Grâce à la technologie Qui leur donne une nouvelle vie « Yamma, yamma ya ghaliya » Me rappelle que ma mère alla Jusqu’à Gabes avec une amie Et revint en chantant cette mélodie Je ne t’oublie pas, Maman chérie Tu m’as donné l’amour et la vie Je pense à toi tous les jours Tu es dans mon cœur pour toujours Copyright 2018 Emile Tubiana

English Translation:

There was a time mom sang

Our house resonated

We listened with pleasure

And keep it in mind

�

Today these old songs

We reach the house

Thanks to technology

Who gives them a new life

�

"Yamma, yamma ya ghaliya"

Remember that my mother went

Until Gabes with a friend

And came back singing this melody

�

I do not forget you, dear mom

You gave me love and life

I think about you every day

You are in my heart forever
