I was not sure what to categorize this under. It is about my Gramps yet the Wars he has fought in too since Memorial Day is coming around the corner. He died in 1997.
He fought in World War II and Vietnam. He was an expert rifleman in the State of Illinois. He took me skeet shooting when I was just twelve! I really enjoyed it and we talked for hours on ends, about big and little things.
He seemed to have come ALIVE around a gun, I have now unfortunately realized. I cannot go back and talk about guns to him, anymore.
He was so special, and sweet in his own unique way! He was full of love only hiding it at times.
I miss him so.
