How the celebration of Father's Day is not known in my family. I have a father, yes, but my parents divorced when I was 4 yrs old. My first memory was when I was 5 years. Mom was the MOST important thing in my life, Dad was at the bottom of the list.
We just had Mother's day,
Made Mom a card out of
Special paper this year,
Got Mom a Special box
with babysitting money.
Now,it is time
for Father's day, Again!
I send you a card,
out of resepect.
You never even
come to see me,
OR I to see you.
You are so hard
to buy for.
I do not even
get you a present
anymore,
except at
Christmas time.
I wish we could talk, Dad.
I wish I could hear your heart
saying to me,
"I love you Rebecca!"
Right now, after Thirty-three years,
I feel NOTHING!
I have the UTMOST respect for
you and Elaine,(your second wife)
But I do not feel LOVE from Elaine either.
Talk to me, Daddy!
I have forgiven you but I cannot forget.

Becca a very touching poem, heartwrenching. To have a dad and not have a relationship with him must be a terrible burden. I know how close me and my dad were, he took me everywhere with him.I was the youngest of 5;-)I was closer to my dad than my mom for most of my youth. I really feel for you. Do you ever make it known to him that you'd like to se him? He may think you don't care. I pray you get to see him more.
