How I have tried my hand at composing music for my Music Composition class. I wrote the lyrics last night. Nothing like Bill Murray's but I pounded out the notes on the piano last night and it came up beautifully! Even got it in the right key and ending on the right note! YEA!
Please note the italicized words are the accented syllables and the first downbeats of the measures to give emphasis.
This poem is about a sailor I communicated with on the USS Vinson before it came back home to port in the USA. The sailor was W.R.
You are on my mind, I wonder about you, Texas is still waiting.(grin) I am learning, hearing, composing, writing, and making beautiful sounds of music while waiting for you!
