Labor Day 2007
The Sacramento river flows It runs to meet The American river,for it knows The way to the sea I walk along where the river runs And hear the lapping water calling me Tarry not Lover Dear For I wish to embrace Surrender self For I will make you wet I will cool you Calm you Accept you And deliver you to shore Refreshed *

I remember the icy cold Sacramento River as it flowed through Red Bluff during putrid hot summers of 1959. Thanks for the reminder.
