Twilight reaches over you,
Soaring waves of darkened thoughts,
filling your life with endless doubts.

Knowing darkness so well,
allowing deception to seep
into the crevices of your mind.

Predator of the night,
taking and ravishing with delight,
discarding love like a bad meal.

Twilight reaches over you,
Soaring waves of darkened thoughts,
filing your life with endless doubts.

Longing for a way out of the darkness,
allowing deception to end,
and lightness to seep into your mind.

No longer roaming the darkest night,
nor taking and discarding love,
but finding humility and hope within.

to reach a plane of tranquility
and innocence once more
and knowing that you are opening that door!
