"Floating In The Sea Of Depression"

Flowing tears staining your cheeks,
Depression for way to many weeks.
Come up to light and know your place
where sadness must be erased.
When sadness lingers far too long,
you begin to lose your life's song.
Tread slowly, never in haste
savor the good times, sweet taste.
Capture the times of happy feelings,
don't let the depression do it's stealings.
Be strong and regain your sunshine,
hold it deeply within your mind.
A smile goes a long way
A frown puts you in dismay,
A hug will feel like a warming glow,
and a kiss will awaken your flow.
Walk within the glowing light,
taking depression out of sight,
filling your mind with thoughts of love
and knowing that he's there above.
It's time to move onward and upward
to a better life where happiness is heard.
No more tears, nor more sorrow
Only Happiness for you, tomorrow!
Author's Notes: Depression is the number one leading cause for ailments and suicide in this country...I know this feeling all too well. I never want to float in the Sea of Depression...I dedicate this poem to my friends and family that have thrown me a lifesaver here and there over the years...Thank you, I love you all.
