"13th Anniversary of my 39th Birthday" by Amber Moonstone 9/07/05
I sit here at my computer,
thinking about this 13th Anniversary Of my 39th Birthday,
and it makes me sad, but also joyful.
I can reflect on the many years that have gone by,
And be grateful for my health, children, and the loves that I have had.
My first love, my ex husband,
For 31 years we cried, laughed and raised a family together.
My second love, my beautiful man, We cried, laughed
and talked for hours sitting on my back deck,
or having a stoop discussion.
Both loves, have touched my soul forever.
Nothing will tarnish those memories that I have of them.
Now on this 13th anniversary of my 39th Birthday,
I sit here, alone, without any love in my life.
I am both sad and joyful.
Author's Notes: To be alone doesn't always have to be sad. I am joyful for the life I have, and thankful for my children. And now of course, my new family here on Author's Den. I cherish the friendships and the support I receive from all of you here, thank you and God Bless!
