"Raindrops Had To Fall" (C)

Another drop of rain,
Another flinch of pain,
while tumbling among the fields
of a wish and a hope that yields;

fond memories of love gone by
and steadfast honor to comply,
with the new journey undertaken,
no soul is forsaken.

Once the raindrops begin to dry,
the pain will then begin to die.
Wishing and hoping are not in vain
but seeing and knowing will explain

why the raindrops had to fall
and the pain was felt by all.
Begin again, once more,
and know that wisdom is at the door.

Life is meant to enjoy,
Misery is meant to employ
Awakening drops of raining pain,
acknowledging that it was not in vain!



Author's Notes: Pain is like raindrops on an icy morning. You need it to wake up! To all of those, who have suffered a lost love, remember, all that you have gained from it, and move forward, toward another rain!
