Feeling Lost

by Amber "V" Moonstone

8/6/10

Somewhere between marriage and divorce
there was a life filled with pleasure and love
Not sure when that all changed.

Was it when I woke up one morning
feeling lost and not knowing who I was?
Or was it when you stopped loving me.?

It is easier to take the blame
to think that it was me, not you.
In reality it was us.

We became like all other people
complacent and driven
trying to make a living and forgetting to live.

Now years after my divorce,
grown children and one grandchild,
I am again feeling that lost feeling.

I am wanting to sell everything I own,
give away personal items,
and downsize to a cottage on the shore.

What has happened to me?
I am lost in a world, again
that I don't feel I belong.

I want to be done with the workplace,
I want to be able to run free to share my spirit
with others of like mind and soul.

I am slowly progressing in that direction,
I know logically I need to be patient
for five more years.

I will find my nirvana,
I will live freely so that
my mind, body, and spirit

Will never feel lost again!

Amber a lot of us have been there including Fred and I. Afetr our divorces many years ago from our Ex's, we both went through these feelings.
Too often you were right, people forget to live and they have to live for not only their children and themselves but for each other. Fred and I have been together for 38 years and our one promise to each other is that he will come before others and he promised I will come before others. We stop and think now and always make time to be together, even if it is sitting together to wach a movie or just to chat. Distance can widen overnight. We never part without a kiss good-bye and when we return we greet each other with a kiss. You have a lot in your words and I hope others will take it and run with it. Thank you.

So naked, so vulnerable, so on the move and flowing in the right direction. How you speak for many of us, no matter what our personal circumstances, Amber. To be sure, at whatever phase and stage of life we can be "orphan hearts" needing to be anchored in a firm perception of self and of purpose. At such times we have need to deconstruct in order to reconstruct, so stripping ourselves clean and bare is part of the onward progression and process. You are not free-falling but held in a sovereign open palm that keeps you secure and rooted until the desired change comes. Honour the journey, treasure the questions and seek peace for with peace will come freedom and a prevailing equilibrium. Thank you always for blessing us with an insight as to your personal progression from which we also take heart, learn and grow. Bless you, xx

When you get that feeling, something is surely about to change. You seek so deligently to find yourself and your place to be lost for long. An honest and meaningful write.

Amber, this is such an incredible outpouring of heart and soul. Believe me when I tell you that I have experienced the feeling of being lost to the world, but as you say, patience and vision will lead you to your nirvana.

Best wishes from a fellow seeker,
David

An open and honest expression of what is, what was and is hoped for in the future. I of course can relate to those feelings of being lost. They are not pleasant, for sure, but probably essential to our development. yuk! Wish there was a better way. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. May many blessings be yours. J'nia

"...trying to make a living and forgetting to live.." yes, Amber, you've hit the nail on the head...but what can we do? the practical, the necessary often intrudes on the essential and pushes it aside, and we end up lost souls. You set me off here and I like being set off in this way. Thank you for this fine work and I believe you've found yourself.

Beautifully expressed, that it is not one person, but two, and the recovery from the split is possible, "never feel lost again."

Amber, So many can relate to the feeling of being lost. Having a family then having then move on is very difficult! You have been focused on all there needs for so long that you feel lost when they leave. I think change is good for the soul. If you are thinking about that cottage on the shore you should go for it! This is your time now to do what makes you happy! You have love in your heart and will meet that man that gives you that spark! Stay positive cause love could be around the corner waiting for that perfect entrance. Take care, ~Chessly

chilling Viv!!
How utterly sad too in knowing
having been there...giving away almost all my things
and even one very important thing...yet in releasing this
there is the growth into the wholeness of you...your wants
as a woman aside from being a wife, or a divorcee ect...
your wanting the cottage sounds lovely!!
and sharing with like minds...

Oh Amber, this is exquisite and honest.

I have decided, after feeling lost and alone for most of the time I have been on this odd earthly journey, to just embrace the divine decree of being home in the joy of "lostness" and you of all people are NOT lost!
You just need someone to appreciate you inside and out with kisses that are hot and very hard!!!
Blessings,
Christine
