Transforming light
flowing throughout
another chance,
to return to life.

Seedlings of hope,
begin to flourish
accomplishing directives
soothing pain.

Stark light
journey beneath
the sterile surroundings
relinquishing complete control.

Journey to another world,
familiar in scent,
satisfying visually,
but empty of heart.

One, two, three, four,
downward spiral
darkness dissolving
all my senses.

Quiet, peace, serenity,
nothing to feel,
nothing to smell,
nothing to know.

Flatness all around,
embodiment of calmness.
No waves of negative
nor positive energy.

Just Silence,
Peace,
Serenity,
Quiet.

There is a valley,
so luscious and green,
full of nature's beauty,
calling to me.

Waning resistence
pulling me in,
capturing my heart
seeing the light.

Jolts of electricity
spiraling through
flatness stalled
life anew.

Can this be?
another chance
to walk the Earth's
green pastures.

Swimming among
the dolphins deep,
kissing the mermaid's
tears of joy.

Climbing mountains
running wild,
combing crowds
finding smiles.

Open eyes,
full of promise,
renewed life's spark,
another chance.

Wondering what this is,
feelings of questioning love,
I don't know you,
but I love you.

Recessive infatuation
bubbling to the surface
unfamiliar recognition
but strong emotions.

When does a heart
know it's home?
If it once belonged
to another?

I awoke from surgery,
with the transplanted heart,
that saved my life,
only to wonder why I lived.
