Moon's Whisper

by Amber "V" Moonstone

July 23, 2011

The Moon Spoke to me last night,
sparkling through the humid mist,
beams of magical energy
resonated throughout my body.

I could feel your breath,
against my naked shoulder,
touching me like a shiver,
that ran down my spine.

You are only a breath away,
the moon said,
go and find your love,
he is waiting atop the deserted dunes.

I closed my eyes,
and saw you standing there,
suntanned and beautiful,
your hair flowing like a welcoming beacon.

You have been gone far too long,
the moon awaits your arrival
at my open door,
uniting two lost souls, hungry for love.

Why do you wait on the dunes?
do your fear the greatest love of your life?
or are you too cautious to throw yourself into the wind?
fear not the unknown, for the moon knows best.

I can fully feel this one, Amber; it's totally uncanny how the shafts of moonlight, on just the right occasion, fall on a mood or surface of our psyche that opens such an inner ear and all things line-up in such a way as we not only sense but actually physically see things, too. Love how your moon-magic opens such a door of secret knowledge and understanding so that all is revealed! :)) xx

That final line is a killer, Amber,
but the whole poem works a magic you more than know, you feel,
to impart and share. How deserving of love you are!

Yes, indeed, the moon knows alright, so let's get with it. Very nice poetry, sensual and well-written, Amber.
