Heartful

The heart is resting,
holding fast to a steady beat,
alive and full of warmth,
for another's heartbeat.

The heart knows no age,
it loves like yesterday,
it hurts like tomorrow,
and beats in the moment.

The heart searches for it's mate,
tenderly sending out signals,
that only is meant for one
in sync with the vibrations of the heart.

The heart is a simple machine,
pumping life into our beings,
keeping our emotions close,
and allowing us to feel.

The heart can be broken,
it is resilient and steadfast,
it is a barometer
for the temperature of love.

The heart needs to be tenderly treated,
caressed and loved,
for life cannot exist without
our capacity to feel the love within each heartbeat!
