Lost In The Freeze

Missing the warm breeze of summer,
Falling into breaking waves,
soft sand, and melting sunlight,
I crave some quiet and solitude.
Wandering along the byways of freedom,
Feeling pulled in so many directions,
makes my mind spin out of control
only to crave some quiet and solitude.
Scraping windows of frigid snowfall,
wrapping up in bundles of warmth,
trying to forget how far summer seems to be,
I crave some quiet and solitude.
Looking at the starry night sky,
brought tears to my eyes,
knowing how much I am missing,
only to crave some quiet and solitude.
Trudging through another six inches of snow,
Cursing that damn groundhog,
watching a breathtaking event, a falling star,
Gave me my quiet and solitude right at that moment!

you have crazy tugging at your sleeve. Excellent
penning Amber!
Always,

I don't live in the snow zone, but I find that winter gets harder every year. Yesterday it reached 80°, something it hasn't done for over two months. But today, after a front came through last night it will be lucky to make 40°. I'm bundled up for it as I write this.

Gave me my quiet and solitude right at that moment!
I love the contrast in emotions expressed in these verse and the whole poetic offering "speaks" to me, Amber. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes to you,
Regis
Summer's beauty is dazzeling your heart.

And cold to the bone,
It sure is tough,
Living in the frozen zone.
