A follow up to LIVE FREE OR DIE. The comments are beginning to come in on that piece from politicians in New Hampshire and all over the country. Some positive; most not. Looks like I may have shaken the hornets nest a little too hard. You know what? TOUGH!

A haze hangs over the mountains,
As danger gathers in the air;
Dark clouds forming in the distance,
Announcing a storm is very near.

I watch in awe as the clouds grow,
Climbing higher into the sky;
Flashes of lightning from within,
Soon, Heaven may begin to cry.

They could be here at any moment,
The deafening rumbles of thunder;
Explosions of flame ripping the sky,
As I stand by in transfixed wonder.

At the awesome power of God,
Dancing in the skies before me;
An ever changing recital,
For all of His children to see.

He sends signs in various ways,
A thunderstorm could be His plan;
Maybe a dream deep in the night,
Or just the words of a common man.

Trust in the Lord every day,
Know the Bible is there for you;
But always keep an open mind,
For other signs that He sends too.

Lord, You’re a miracle worker,
Thank You for the words that You bring;
Though I am most undeserving,
Your name in praise, I’ll ever sing.

The storm is growing around me,
Threatening me with a deluge;
I fear not the repercussions,
As always Your words speak the truth.

You asked me for one hundred percent,
So that’s what I’ll continue to do;
Your loving blessings are abundant,
I would be nothing if not for You.

Yes my Lord, I will do Your work,
No matter what others may say;
So please send me every word,
That You want me to share each day.

I love this, especially that last verse. I have often felt like God leads my pen into sharing what can help others.
