The Lost Drive In has yielded yet another one that never got posted for whatever reason. Ms. Alwin tells me they weren't lost, I just forgot to post a whole bunch of 'em. How's that old saying go? "Memory is the first thing to go," or something like that. Anyway, here's another one from the Lost and Found box. You can find this one on page 57 of MOUNTAIN TRAILS, Lessons in Life, Book 2 also.
Lord, I know You won’t leave me alone,
You put me here to walk this trail;
You’re with me as I travel along,
With You by my side, I will prevail.
I couldn’t understand it at all,
When You called on me to do some work;
I’m not close to being worthy, Lord,
And this path that I’m on, dangers lurk.
I have asked many times, “Why me, Lord?”
And still You send me inspirations;
To pass along to everyone,
But there are scary indications.
Some have begun to take offense,
To these words I write down from You;
So I need a little more help,
Please tell me what I need to do.
As I walk through this valley of fear,
I know You have a reason for this;
And very soon I may understand,
A message You sent, I might have missed.
Can You tell me why so many hate,
Hearing the truth that is meant to be?
Can You answer another question;
Is some of that hate directed at me?
My Lord, I didn’t ask for this trail,
Not a walk through this valley of fear;
Now I’m concerned for all those I love,
For everyone that I hold dear.
It is not for them to have to deal,
With this task You have given to me;
Just how can I protect them my Lord,
From discontent that is sure to be?
I am so sorry when I question,
Things that I know You want me to do;
It’s not for myself that I’m afraid,
I would humbly give my life for You.
My family and friends all around,
Support me in what I’m doing;
And yet, so many don’t understand,
That your story is meant for their viewing.
As I walk through this valley of fear,
Protect those around me from all harm;
Place those I care for behind Your shield,
Hold all of them in Your loving arms.
And my Lord, I just want You to know,
As I am sure You already do;
This valley of fear changes nothing,
I will pass along the words from You.
Your words and story are meant to guide,
Everyone through their valleys of fear;
And to bring peace to all of Your children,
Every day throughout all their years.
I pray that everyone in this world,
Would just listen to Your words and hear;
That with peace, love, trust and faith,
There’d be no reasons to walk in fear.
Paul you are so precious!Whom God keep is well kept, and no one can harm you nor your family, for He has you under is His Wings of Divine Protection contending with those who, are contending with you! I am encouraged and inspired by this outstanding write. My friend you are not alone God Himself is with you and your family! Stay on this Trail Paul the prize is at the end!
Good religious write and hope you will get to the heart of many readers. Like to see things like this on the den. Inspirational to me and hopefully to others. We all go through the valley of fear most every day I believe anyway and God solves all our problems if we wait on him.

A thought-provoking poem that I hope touches hearts everywhere. You summed it up so beautifully in the end.....
I pray that everyone in this world,
Would just listen to Your words and hear;
That with peace, love, trust and faith,
There’d be no reasons to walk in fear.
"A Valley of Fear" is representative of us all and the fears we deal with in life. Fortunate for you, me, and those whose lives are nourished with faith we can cross over the barriers of fear to do what we feel we are meant to do.
A beautiful expression of your faith,and the daily struggle to make it all come to fruition! Your sentiments are ones many of us can identify with ,Paul!Thanks for sharing!
Much Love,
Always!!!
