Decided to give it my all,
They say it is never too late;
I enrolled in college today,
Maybe it’s a matter of fate.

I’ve practiced law for many years,
Just never had the credentials;
But I don’t want to cross the line,
It’s time I learn the essentials.

I have all the time in the world,
I’ll give it one hundred percent;
I’ll be an attorney at law,
I’ll treat my clients with respect.

Never an exorbitant fee,
Rich is not want I want to be;
Helping others will be my goal,
The poor, the needy and the old.

There’s too much greed in the world,
So many forgot how to share;
Dear Lord, let me never forget,
Walk beside me, help me to care.

With the grace of God I’ll make it,
My first case will be pro bono;
Maybe the second and third too,
I just thought that you’d like to know.

Now don’t expect as many writes,
As I’ve posted here in the past;
But, I promise you this my friends,
This is definitely not my last.

I start full time this coming week,
There’ll be little time for much fun;
And I won’t rest for a minute,
Until that law degree is hung.

I promise you I’ll keep in touch,
With all here in the Author’s Den;
For you’ve all played a part in this,
I’m proud to call you all my friends.
