God paid me a visit today,
He brought peace and contentment too;
He said, "If you want to feel whole,
Here is all that you have to do.

"Eternity awaits my fold,
My prophets drew a map for you;
Simple directions you can take,
Heaven is easy to get to.

"Help all find my beloved Son,
He has with Him my Book of Life;
If their name's already in it,
They'll be freed from worry and strife.

"Get that old Bible off your shelf,
And wipe all that dust off of it;
You'll find the trail well marked in there,
The way is easy and so well lit.

"The life you are living right now,
I'd intended to last through time;
But your ancestors blew the deal,
They thought their plan better than mine.

Now you, my child, have found the truth,
You did things your way for so long;
You have suffered through some hard times,
Only through faith have you stayed strong.

"So here is what you are to do,
Pass the word of the peace you've found;
So many on earth remain lost,
Far too many are hellward bound.

"I'll give you the words to write down,
Simply spread the truth about me;
Tell them how Jesus saved your soul,
Tell them of my Eternity."

Then just like that, God left my side,
But He left peace and contentment;
Now I must write a verse or two,
Of the message that He just sent.

Today my soul is more refreshed,
Now I am walking a new trail;
The trail that God has placed me on,
To tell of His Word that won't fail.
