Another BLESSED DAY

One breath, one step, one day at a time.

This day is almost at an end,
Another blessed day over;
The sun is beginning to set,
A dew gathers on the clover.

Soon the stars will begin to shine,
The moon will cast its gentle glow;

As birds settle down for the night,
One can almost hear the grass grow.

The forest grows quiet and still,
As deer cuddle near to their fawn;
Offering them a mother’s love,
Safe and content until the dawn.

Now darkness has taken over,
It‘s time we retreat to our nests;
The trail for today has ended,
It’s time for a much needed rest.

Now it’s time to count our blessings,
Give our thanks to the Lord above;
For all that He gave us today,
With all His compassion and love.

This God given day at its end,
Now we need to rest for the night;
A new day will be coming soon,
When we’ll rise again with His light.
