We met seven long years ago,
I didn't even know your name;
Back then, you didn't seem to care,
But I still loved you all the same.

You gazed at me with big brown eyes,
I could see that you felt unsure;
That day I promised to take you,
To a home where you'd feel secure.

Where have the past seven years gone?
During that time, we sure have grown;
Now, no matter where I may go,
You're there, you don't leave me alone.

But that's okay, you're one great friend,
Right or wrong, you have faith in me;
Day or night, you're there by my side,
Quite a pair we turned out to be.

When I'm asked how you got your name,
I say, you "brought love from the start;"
And that you've made my life complete,
With endless love from deep in your heart.

A love that comes from faith and trust,
Trusting each other in all we do;
A special love never questioned,
And Luv's what I came to call you.

You're by my side where ever I go,
You even come with me to school;
Right by my feet all during class,
My classmates think you're really cool.

You are my Luv, and you should know,
You've made a big difference to this man;
Greater than all celebrities,
And, my Luv, I'm your biggest fan.

A dog is a special creature,
Dogs are a gift from up above;
D O G  is a reflection of  G O D,
Like Christ, filled with unending love.
