Today was cold with snow in the air,
So I decided to take a ride;
Just to look at God's many blessings,
 He spread them throughout the countryside.

Left the lake and drove to Twin Mountain,
The snow was falling heavy up there;
I spotted a moose on a hillside,
By a trailhead I saw a black bear.

I drove up and down the switchback hills,
I traveled on one lane mountain roads;
Then took some trails into the forest,
To places where no one ever goes.

The wondrous sights were everywhere,
Evergreen trees along frozen streams;
Young eagles soaring high in the sky,
On upper currents so crisp and clean.

I came to a clearing in the woods,
Blanketed with the new fallen snow;
I parked where I was, got out to walk,
Spotted a deer with a fawn in tow.

She stopped in her tracks when she saw me,
Then did something I couldn't believe;
Walked over to where I was standing,
And introduced her bambi to me.

God placed these many wonders about,
They're everywhere, just look around;
So many pleasures He offers us,
Small miracles waiting to be found.
