The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. - Psalm 37:23-24
Please Lord, remake me, remold me,
Into what You meant me to be;
Sometimes Lord, I’m not strong enough,
Then, I let the devil break free.
Start off by rebuilding my soul,
This is where I am much too weak;
At times I question my own heart,
Lord, it’s Your true wisdom I seek.
Put Your Spirit back in my heart,
To let others know You are there;
Lord, help me to be more patient,
So all those I love know I care.
I need be more understanding,
To those around me who I love;
I need to be less critical,
I need Your guidance from above.
Yes Lord, remake me, remold me,
I turn my life over to You;
Help me to live the way You lived,
Doing Your will in all I do.
Your heart comes through loud and clear, Paul. The wondrous thing is that He waits to hear this kind of prayer, and patiently renews us all our life through. I get so impatient with myself for being unfaithful in many ways, when my desire is to live this way. Yet I know my Heavenly Father is always ready to hear me and renew my hungry heart.
