This is an edited write from about a year ago that is a fitting follow up to "A MESSAGE RECEIVED" which I posted yesterday, December 14, 2009. I looked for the original that I had posted in the Den way back when but couldn't find it. In any event, it is similar to the first posting but changed and edited in several ways. Upon all these trails we travel,
Life, at times, can be very hard;
Yet, they lead to eternal life,
The gift offered to all by God.
At times, the trails may get rocky,
As we continue on our quest;
These are the times we must be strong,
When our faith is put to the test.
Put to the test, our faith will be,
As we travel along earth’s trails;
If we keep true faith in our Lord,
There is no way for us to fail.
In God we will find happiness,
Even though friends may let us down;
With our Lord we will find true peace,
Never needing to wear a frown.
Know, through faith, that God always hears,
Trust in Him with all of our heart;
In His way and time, He answers all prayers,
Just as He has from the very start.
Some trails won't be straight or level,
Still, they're lit by Heavenly light;
By the Lord there right by our side,
He makes our trails safe day and night.
But the choice is always up to us,
Of whether we will choose to obey;
It is reflected in all we do,
Also in all of the things we say.
A friendly smile, a thoughtful word,
A soft, caressing, tender touch;
Encouragement in times of need,
As we travel our trails, these mean so much.
