The Light on Our Trails

May all of your trails be bright and level.

May God be the light on our trails,
Lighting the way so we can see;
All the wonderful things He's done,
Lovingly made for you and me.

Guiding us along through the storms,
Through the darkness so we can see;
Without His guidance and His love,
I can’t fathom how life would be.

Despite our sinful ways and faults,
That don’t allow us to be free;
Still God has a place in His heart,
A place at Home for you and me.

Why He even cares I don’t know,
But I thank the stars that He does;
Without Him we would be nothing,
The One who gave His life for us.
