Something is on the horizon,
A thing that takes my breath away;
A new day to look forward to,
Then I drop to my knees and pray.
I thank God for giving me life,
I thank Him for each breath I take;
Then the weak, human side of me,
Asks Him to please, give me a break.
Sometimes, it seems that life’s pleasures,
Don’t satisfy, they're not enough;
That’s the devil at work again,
These are the times he plays quite rough.
Faith doesn’t always come easy,
Tough times work to break it apart;
That’s why I need to talk with God,
Pray to Him to stay in my heart.
Then I need to look deep inside,
Rebuild the faith that is my stock;
Turn to the One who satisfies,
Look to Jesus, my solid rock.
My dear Paul, this is just so beautiful. Sure, life is sometimes one bumpy ride, but it's always a wonderful feeling to look forward to the smooth road ahead. That's faith in action. Believing that there is light at the end of the dark tunnel, that's strengthening the faith in motion. Talking with our Creator, that's keeping the faith burning. A truly inspiring piece. Peace and love in Christ.
