Thank You, my Lord, for listening,
As I spilled my heart and my soul;
In a feeble, human attempt,
At trying to make my faith whole.
Being a lawyer's not easy,
We're taught to trust only in facts;
Knowing there's a shadow of doubt,
To acquit if the story lacks.
And one needs to admit, my Lord,
In 2,000 years that have passed;
Mankind has taken Your story,
Says no! Proof has not ammassed.
I am ashamed of myself,
With the questions I asked of You;
Yes, I'm missing one grain of sand,
Still, I trust in all that You do.
As I sit here and cry aloud,
Forgive me, Lord, for that doubt;
I simply want nothing more than,
To trust in You fully and to shout...
"I have the evidence that we need,
One-hundred percent irrefutable;
Jesus Christ is The Lord, our God,
There is no room for rebuttal."
Still, Dear Lord, I need ask of You,
Grant me one tiny grain of sand;
To complete this ancient puzzle,
Proof You exist, for every man.
In closing, I would like to say,
Thanks, Lord, for our talk last night;
I cast the devil from my soul,
Trusting You'll make all things right.
While the jury deliberates,
I'll still search for one grain of sand;
So they'll be no shadow of doubt,
That God, in fact, walked among man.

Indeed, my friend; this is an earnest plea; and the whole offering is thought-provoking and prayerful. Thank you, Paul. Love and peace,
