He awoke early this morning,
To a feeling of great despair;
Overwhelming him to the core,
Knowing that "his" don't truly care.

Yes, he's loved and he knows that's true ,
But not by those of his own blood;
The ones that he holds the dearest,
Have caused tears to flow like a flood.

Feeling that life's not worth living,
Feeling that he's better off dead;
No longer feeling happiness,
Sorrowful thoughts filling his head.

In waves, bad news came yesterday,
Death is dancing at his front door;
There's too much pain and suffering,
Life's not worth living anymore.

But wait, he wants to thank the Lord,
He's happy to know the time frame;
He knows that God heard his prayers,
And knows from where this blessing came.

Knowing "she" can hurt him no more,
"THE END" has come to the story;
The final chapter is now known,
To be edited in GLORY.

Maybe in the time he has left,
He can turn all the hurt around;
Making things the way they should be,
Before they place him in the ground.

Yet, he knows that it won't matter,
In Heaven there is no sorrow;
Lord, why wait an entire year,
Why not just take him tomorrow?

He knows that You have Your reasons,
And all the while You'll hold his hand;
His faith in Your way is complete,
His trust is in your Divine plan.
