When we are least expecting them,
God sends lessons to think about;
Lessons in life He sends to all,
Purposely too, there is no doubt.

I had an awful fear of heights,
Came the Trade Center tragedy;
Felt that I just had to help out,
A firefighter came to be.

When I was near dead, He brought life,
Called back to duty at fifty one;
Lessons in life are amazing,
Some can even be lots of fun.

When something was missing from life,
Felt my whole world falling apart;
God sent an angel from Heaven,
That filled the huge hole in my heart.

And even when a house was lost,
God soon replaced it with a home;
He is ever present in life,
Ask and you'll never walk alone.

I cherish God's hidden lessons,
They give so much meaning to life;
They are really special blessings,
That help with our worry and strife.
