I look forward to each new day,
With the grand song of victory;
I'm serving the Almighty God,
Marching within His company.

Each day I am ever amazed,
Amazed that He ever chose me;
A common man of little worth,
I was doubtful and did not see.

The One who made the sky and the earth,
And everything else that we see;
Kindly He shines His light upon,
So many sinners like you and me.

He never fails and never quits,
Life eternal is guaranteed;
He gives us strength, a plan for life,
While inviting us to eternity.

He suffered while He took the blows,
From those who thought Him the enemy;
Christ did it all so we could come,
Under the care of God the Almighty.

Always watching, catching our tears,
Saying, "Please come and follow me;"
Some hide in darkness, in shadow,
Yet Christ will never, ever leave.

The Prince of Peace will let us rest,
And He will even wash our feet;
The Holy Lamb who does forgive,
Will cast our sins into the sea.

A love story He wrote and lived,
Just so that all of us could be;
With Him in Heaven forever,
Open your heart; the Lord you'll see.
