I hadn't planned on doing a Book 6 in my LESSONS IN LIFE series but it seems that God has other plans for me. So, with that said, I offer for your review the following poem as the opening writing for what I'm told will be
ALONG TWILIGHT TRAILS -
Lessons in Life, Book 6.
Thank you all for your support and encouraging words and may God bless.
The stars shone brightly this morning,
As I went out to pray to God;
To give Him thanks yet once again,
For a life that is sometimes hard.
When in the twilight of our lives,
We may feel life has been unfair;
But the truth of the matter is,
We’re watched over by One who cares.
Our lives really are a blessing,
If we keep Jesus at our side;
Walk all our trails trusting in Him,
It’s by His law we should abide.
All of life’s experiences,
Are meant to make us stronger still;
As we approach our twilight years,
Remember, that this is all God’s will.
“The end of the trail brings happiness,”
This is the message I got today;
Jesus is kind and so wonderful,
He stays by our side along the way.
So, take another walk with me,
Together on these Twilight Trails;
We’ll find lessons still to be learned,
From many undiscovered tales.
We’ll travel again to the moon,
Using the stars as stepping stones;
Gaze at God’s many miracles,
On this trek that will lead us home.
I hadn’t planned to write Book Six,
But You have still more plans for me;
Along with more Lessons in Life,
If it’s Your will, I write for Thee.
