Starlight on the Trail

This is a variation of one of my poems from FAITH ALONG LIFE'S TRAILS
Lessons in Life - Book 5

God provides starlight on the trail,
Simply to help me find my way;
Lighting the path, guiding me on,
Leading me to a bright new day.

He is my rock, He is my shield,
Helping me just because He cares;
Always listening as I pray,
Never leaving me to despair.

Shielding me from the fiercest storms,
That threaten to blow me away;
Without His love and compassion,
I wouldn't make it another day.

Despite my being a sinner,
The Lord still sees the good in me;
And I know deep, down in my heart,
I'll be with Him in Eternity.

Thank You, my Lord for Your starlight,
I thank You for each bright new dawn;
With You by my side I can move on,
Through Your love I have been reborn.
