Those words still have much meaning today,
Such a brave man was John Kennedy.
But why is it that you don’t care,
Why are you such a selfish bunch?
Help your fellow Americans,
We’re in an economic crunch.
Buying Toyota just won’t do,
Where is your American pride?
A real American or not,
The truth is told by what you drive.
I’ve laid my own life on the line,
And your ancestors did the same;
There’s no excuse for what you do,
To buy foreign is simply lame.
Why don’t you change my stars to tears?
For all I want to do is cry;
Maybe it’s time to just lay down,
Maybe it’s just my time to die.
If I do, where will that leave you?
All your freedoms will go away;
And that would be selfish of me,
But I‘ll need your help should I stay.
All I’ll ask is your loyalty,
I will ask nothing else of you;
Think of your American pride,
That to your country, you be true .
You do encouragement well, Paul! Sadly almost everything today is made by a combo of countries,so that we can hardly tell the difference anymore,but we can always try!
Thanks for sharing. Do you realize that many housing developments, the ones with home owner association fees, do not allow flags. This includes our American flag not just decorative ones. Of course, I feel that if you own your home and are within the zonings and maintenance laws then what oolor you paint your house or decorations you place in your yard is up to you! This is another example of how we are giving our freedoms away and the sad thing is it starts in school. In schools, children have no basic rights any longer.

I like your stance about our economy, Paul. Last week when I was still a patient I had a long discussion with a hospital doctor about the same subject. In a way I can understand people shopping at "Walmarts" because of the cheaper China products. Political parties aside I sure wish our government would help us with the economy.
Paul, that would be a good place to start, but it's not just Toyota's and it's not just the automobile industry. Many of the auto's we think of as American built have many parts from foreign factories and some of them are partially assembled in foreign factories. Much of our furniture, appliances and many other products are foreign built, but of course, we do our own share of exporting to foreign countries. It's all part of what they like to refer to as the "GLOBAL ECONOMY." I see you've titled this as (Part 1) I expect you will get to those "OTHERS" soon enough. Thanks Dick
What's sad is that goods made in America are getting harder and harder to find. Even patriotic items, like t-shirts, flags, etc, are all made in South America, Mexico, or Taiwan and China. What's sad is that we've outsourced jobs to overseas. We've opened our borders and hand everything to illegals, when it used to be you came here to have a better life, learn the language, obey the laws ... not so, any more. And you are so right, Paul: the enemy lies within, just waiting. Biding his time. Waiting for the moment to strike. We draw closer every day -- God help U.S.!!! Excellent write.
