At times the trails will be rocky,
As we continue on our quest;
Those are the times we need be strong,
When our faith is put to the test.

Yes, put to the test faith shall be,
As you trudge slowly on your trail;
If you have true faith in the Lord,
None will be left behind to fail.

In God we can find happiness,
Even when a friend lets us down;
With our Lord we can find true peace,
Never needing to wear a frown.

Know through faith that God always hears,
Trust in Him with all of your heart;
In His time He'll answer your prayers,
As He has done right from the start.

Not all trails will be straight or level,
Yet they are lit by Heavenly light;
From the Lord walking right by our side,
He makes our trails safe both day and night.

But the choice is left to each of us,
And whether we will choose to obey;
It is reflected in all we do,
And in everything that we say.

A friendly smile, a thoughful word,
A soft, caressing, tender touch;
Encouragement in times of need,
Along these trails these mean so much.
