Help Me, Lord

These words have been going through my head all day like an old song.

Dear Lord, won’t you please help me walk,
Another mile, just one more mile;
I’m tired and I can’t walk alone,
Lord, help me to smile one more smile.

My Lord, I can’t make it on my own,
I should have asked for Your help before;
I thought I could do things by myself.
But I just can’t take it any more.

I come to You with a humble heart,
I’m here before You on bended knee;
My Lord, I love You and I trust You,
Now I’m begging You Lord, please help me.

Lord, come down from Your golden Throne,
 Please Lord, come down to lowly me;
I need to feel Your tender touch,
I need Your help to make me see.

Just where I fit into Your plan,
What is it You’d like me to do?
I thought I could walk the trails myself,
Lord, I’m nothing when I’m not with You.

So, now I pray with a humble heart,
I’m here before You on bended knee;
Lord, I just can’t take it anymore,
And I’m begging You Lord, please help me.

the Lord has answered my prayers in different ways than I ever expected. I trust him and put my faith in him each day. Granted, you are a super writer. Being humble in this world counts for something too.

Oh, the reverent emotion that is embroiled within and can so relate. God bless, stay strong, he hears....

Be always safe,

Just don't be praying so hard that you miss his answer. An answer that comes in quietude.
