This piece is fictional and intended as a prayer to comfort those who may be be an exile from their families for what ever reason. May God help them through their ordeal.
Good morning Dear Lord; how are You?
I just need a bit of Your time;
To listen to the words I say,
To ease this wounded heart of mine.
Lord, I’ve tried, You know how I’ve tried,
But the trail is always one way;
Maybe now’s the time to let go,
So to You I have come to pray.
They chose to keep me out of their lives,
They ignore me and keep me away;
But thanks to the wisdom You provide,
I’m part of Your family this day.
And so I let go and let You,
Handle all of my cares and strife;
And thanks to Your most loving ways,
I can simply get on with life.
While those closest to me do care,
And I love them with all my heart;
So this day Lord, I make a vow,
This special day means a new start.
Just one more thing I ask of You,
Lord won’t You take the hurt away;
It’s in Your hands; I trust in You,
In Your care I’ll forever stay.

Beautiful heartfelt prayer. As I was preparing Thanksgiving dinner this year, I was thinking about people who have no family to go home too on Thanksgiving and wondering how they spend their day. I hope they said a prayer just like this one.
