I went for a walk this morning,
On the ice of the frozen lake;
With me was my faithful dog, Luv,
Her friendship isn't hard to take.

I just needed to talk with God,
To clear up some things in my mind;
To put my weary soul at rest,
Peace for my heart I longed to find.

The sun came over the mountain,
Overcoming the dark of night;
Sending its warmth right to my soul,
Making this new day clear and bright.

I stopped and looked up to the sky,
And humbly I started to pray;
I spilled my heart and soul to Him,
Asking that He show me the way.

Then I felf His mighty power,
The message He sent came quite clear;
"In your heart, you did the right thing,
With faith in me, you need not fear.

"There's no one righteous among you,
No one on Earth that's free from sin;
What matters is, I know the truth,
And all will know it in the end."

I felt all the pain drain away,
Knowing I had done nothing wrong;
The words that I write come from God,
That helps us all keep our faith strong.

Thank You, my Lord...I love You so,
Once again You've restored my soul;
Forgive me for having some doubt,
Make my faith strong as I grow old.
