There's a light on the horizon,
Always been there calling to me;
Predicting what the future holds,
Telling me of new hope to be.

Far too long I refused to look,
It made no sense to me at all;
What was this light? I didn't know,
I completely ignored its call.

One clear day an awakening,
My life's force was slipping away;
I was told there was little hope,
And right then I began to pray.

"My Lord, I've had no use for You,
Yet, they tell me You still love me;
If what they say is the honest truth,
Place Your healing hands upon me."

That day the Lord heard my prayer,
As He brought me under His care;
Gave His gift of a miracle,
Now all His love I want to share.

During bad times when things are rough,
God's only a prayer away;
But when times are good don't forget,
To offer Him thanks when you pray.

Look to the light on the horizon,
It is the light of The Risen Son;
Simply believe in His spoken words,
And all of your battles will be won.

Not in this life? Matters not, my friends,
This path we're on is simply a trial;
Leading us to our own trail's end,
Where we will walk the eternal mile.
