I went for a walk this morning,
On the shores of Winona Lake;
My dog, Luv, walking by my side,
The sights were so easy to take.

I took some time to talk with God,
To clear cobwebs within my mind;
To put my weary soul at rest,
Peace for my soul I longed to find.

The sun rose over the mountains,
Overcoming the dark of night;
Bringing its warmth over the land,
Making the day both clear and bright.

I stopped and looked into the sky,
Then humbly I began to pray;
Spilling my heart and soul to Him,
Asking Him to, "Please guide my way."

Then quickly I felt God's power,
The message He sent was quite clear;
'In your heart you do the right things,
With faith in me you've nothing to fear.

'No one is righteous amongst you,
Not one of you is free from sin;
What matter is, I know the truth,
As all will know it in the end.'

I felt all the hurt drain away,
The longing to sing a new song;
The words that I write come from God,
Helping us all keep our faith strong.

Thank You Dear Lord, I love You so,
Once again You've restored my soul;
Forgive me for doubting Your word,
Keep my faith strong as I grow old.
