Wrote the original version of HELP US FIND THE WORDS on October 7, 2004 while stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and included it in my first book, TRAILS END POETRY, Lessons in Life, Book 1. Hard to believe it's been almost 7 years since I was there; seems like just a couple of years really. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this variation of it and may God bless each and every one of you.
Lord, help us find the words to say
To all who have been hurt before
To broken hearts that come our way
We pray that they be hurt no more
Teach us to know the words to say
That all glory is given to You
Help us to plant Your seed this day
Through all we say and all we do
Lord, help us find the words to say
To all who are alone tonight
To every heart that's broken
Help them to find Your Healing Light
Fragile are their hearts and their souls
This is why for Your words we pray
That we may be of some comfort
And never lead a soul astray
While we're asking all this of You
Bless our families and our friends
Please bless all those within Your flock
And keep us faithful 'til the end
Thank You Lord, for each blessed day
Without You we'd surely be lost
We cherish the gift You gave us
The day that You died on the cross
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
