Simple P B & J

a little fun with an old favorite

There's nothing like P B and J
To satisfy one's appetite
No matter what bread it's spread on
You can feel its power and might

Bread by itself is rather dull
Peanut butter perks it up some
But for that real kick in the pants
Jelly makes it serious fun

Rasberry, grape or strawberry
It doesn't matter much at all
It's the jelly that adds the punch
As for flavor you make the call

Now jam isn't quite the same thing
It won't satisfy your belly
And preserves do nothing at all
The ZING is all in the jelly

So don't settle for second best
Insist on having the real thing
Peanut butter and jelly rocks
And oh what a feeling it brings
