Wrote this one on September 17, 2007, while visiting the Old Man's remains at the base of Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch, NH. Hard to believe that was more than four years ago. Time goes by way too quick. I hope you enjoy and may God bless.
The clouds up in the sky today
Have such a wonderful mixture
So many different shapes and forms
They're painting their very own picture
In one I can see a mummy
In a sarcophagus made of snow
Another looks like a field mouse
Just running about to and fro
I begin to look all around
To see just what else I can find
It soon becomes a wondrous game
Played out on a screen in my mind
There is the popular rabbit
I just found him off to the south
Imagination running free
Clouds can tell us stories no doubt
Those clouds behind Cannon Mountain
Look just like the Old Man's profile
Obviously a gift from God
The best He's given in awhile
There's a cloud that tells the story
A puffy white cross in the sky
The story of why He came here
Of how Jesus was born to die
Clouds are a wonder of nature
Understanding that isn't hard
They're such a perfect creation
Made by a caring, loving God
Take time off to look at the sky
You never know what you might see
God can send some strange messages
Like the many He sends to me
My friends, all God's wonders astound
And right now, I give you this dare
Don't be afraid to look for them
God has placed them everywhere
I really loved this and I can relate to it...it was a vision in the sky that saved my son's life...this is very true...I will not go into it in debth but it definately saved him so,he saw a vision in the clouds...he believed in it...now he is on the straight and narrow path...so I do believe in cloud visions...I love your poem!
I love the ever-changing, unpredictable nature of clouds moment to moment, and I very much enjoyed the whimsy and thoughts in your poem ~

Christine
We just need to look up and keep our eyes toward the clouds in the sky. We can see God's natural wonders everywhere just like you said.
Thank God we are able to see through it all and enjoy His Word from on high!
This book consists of a 150 pages of Christian poetry about the end of time and the Second coming of Jesus Christ not as a servant but as a King, the King of kings. To bring righteousness and peace to the earth and restore the government of God! Peac
