It never even dawned on me until today to check who was returning the favors of reviews. But this morning I did and was shocked to find that so many of the writers that I track and review do not return the courtesy of reviewing what I have been writing. Well, my friends, that ends here and you know who you are. To those who always review my work, I thank you from the bottom of my heart; we will always treat each other with the respect and courtesy that is only right here in the Author's Den. To put it bluntly, to those who don't return the courtesy, I am flatly done reviewing your work. HARSH? YES! FAIR? Also YES!
I had a thought this morning
So I went back and checked my reviews
I was amazed to find
Of those I review some abuse
Let me explain that further
I review all of those I track
Everything that's written
But I found some that don't pay back
I hate to have to put it this way
But I guess things will have to change
For one hand washes the other
My time is also important too
To make it simple and direct
I will review all that you do
But I expect the same from you
Anything less will just not do

I try to do just that with all my reviewers. I find myself frequently behind on reviews however due to work constraints, time for writing and other activities of life. Right now I have about 300 reviews backlogged in my email and I will get to them eventually. Patrick
Paul, Paul, Paul... Sometimes one has time to write a cathartic poem, do a few reviews, in no particular order, and then have to whizz out and care for ones elderly parent for a week or so, go to work, then start reviewing and find oneself asleep on the keyboard.
That said. AD used to be fast moving, your poem was bottom of the list within 24 hours, now it can be a week on here.
I hear ya, Paul, o, BOY do I EVER. I work my tail off on my stories and I'm lucky IF I get more than 3 or 4 while others seem to get all the breaks (mostly those who are on gold or platinum status; it seems those who aren't don't matter; sad!). As long as you write, I will read and review; you can COUNT on ME! :) Well stated!

First of all, very good poem Paul. You got wit and a special way with words. Still, during his time folks are visiting and shopping (something that I still need to learn how to do) and decking the halls. So many still love you but have hardly any time at all. I burn the midlight oil and still I don't get to every single name on my list but I hope my friends on Authors' Den know I love them for what they do just the same. After the Christmas Holidays reviews should pick up. God Bless you my friend,
