This is a variation of CELEBRATE THE DAY which I wrote on Christmas Eve, 2006 and which was published in my first book, TRAIL'S END POETRY in 2007.
It's Christmas time and once again We'll celebrate into the night Merry Christmas to one and all For the Son is shining so bright Fill your hearts and stockings with love Christ is the reason for living Praise to the Child born on this day It was His life He was giving Let no one be alone this day Be a friend to one and to all Should you see someone stumble Offer a hand to break their fall God gave us this day to celebrate The salvation of all mankind But little did they know back then How much happiness we would find Have a Merry Christmas my friends And have a Happy New Year too Stay warm and keep peace in your heart Knowing how much Jesus loves you
