Please enjoy my poetic version of this old, old story. I hope you all had a wonderful and a very Merry Christmas. Have a Happy New Year and may God bless.
One year to celebrate Christmas A candy maker had a thought He would honor our Lord Jesus For the salvation Christ had brought He took a candy stick of white To symbolize the virgin birth Solid to show that Jesus was Standing firm for what we were worth He formed it in the shape of a "J" To represent Jesus' name He thought it needed something more His candy "J" seemed much to plain So then he added bright red stripes Three small stripes in place of three nails One large red stripe to show the blood shed Showing us God's love never fails So now you know the candy cane Symbolizes eternal life The real meaning behind the cane God's promise to end worry and strife So now the next time you look at that familiar Christmas decoration, maybe you'll remember the candymaker and the real meaning behind the Christmas candy cane. This is one sweet poem about what that candy cane represents. The world needs to know it's more than just a cane with stripes. Send this one via e-mail and all the other .coms the kids today use. Perhaps then they will learn a think or two from this poetic tune.
